Geoprobe® 54LT Track Mounted Limited Access Direct Push Rig: The Geoprobe® Model 54LT direct push limited access drill rig is a rugged, compact probing unit designed for tight spaces and rough terrain. This track mounted unit is narrow enough to fit through standard 36-in. doors to get to confined, enclosed places a vehicle-mounted unit can't get to. It is less than 3,000 lbs with tooling, 64 inches tall with the tower down, 123 inches tall with the tower fully extended. The length of the rig is 96 inches and requires a drill pad size of at least 5 x 12 feet. It is delivered to the site on a small trailer. It is narrow enough to fit through most doorways and garden gates and is perfect for shallow grid sampling programs.
This limited access direct push rig can perform soil, groundwater, and soil gas sampling using 36 inch or 48 inch long drilling rods. This machine can run single rod or dual tube drilling rod configurations. Discrete or continuous core soil samples can be obtained. Groundwater samples can be collected from an open bore hole, using pre-packed wells screen, temporary slotted well screen, or temporary wells using a peristaltic pump, check valves and tubing, and mini-bailers.
Soil gas samples can be obtained by installing permanent or semi-permanent soil gas wells with one sample interval and depth per bore hole or multiple sample intervals and depths per bore hole (nested wells or multi-depths wells).
