Geoprobe 420M
Geoprobe® 420M (Dolly Mounted) Limited Access Direct Push Rig: This powerful little machine was designed specifically to be durable yet as lightweight as possible. At 24 inches wide, 62 inches tall (folded) and weighing less than 450 lb., the 420M can be manually lifted and carried to remote sampling locations. It can also be deployed to hard-to-reach and narrow sampling locations. The 420M is powered by a remote hydraulic power source. The rig is suitable for indoor limited access work because it is zero indoor emissions owing to the external powerpack and hydraulic hoses up to 200 feet in length. It is delivered to the site on a small trailer or inside the bed of a utility truck.
This limited access direct push rig can perform soil, groundwater, and soil gas sampling using 36 inch long drilling rods. Discrete or continuous core soil samples can be obtained. Groundwater samples can be collected from an open bore hole, using pre-packed wells screen, temporary slotted well screen, or temporary wells using a peristaltic pump, check valves and tubing, and mini-bailers.
Soil gas samples can be obtained by installing permanent or semi-permanent soil gas wells with one sample interval and depth per bore hole or multiple sample intervals and depths per bore hole (nested wells or multi-depth wells).
